How to play

Hold the die, drag, and release to roll. Your roll appears on the die and the square you should land on glows gold — drag your star (or tap that square) to move there, then any ladder or snake resolves automatically. CPUs roll and hop by themselves. First token to reach square 100 wins the round.

Tips & strategy

Snakes and ladders is mostly luck, but two habits help: pick a higher AI count when you want a quicker race (more chances for someone to climb early), and watch the board — if a snake head sits just a few squares ahead, a careful roll that falls short of it is often safer than a big one that lands on it. Use the ladder-hop rule (on by default) if you prefer a gentler game for kids: every 6 gives an extra turn.

Good for

  • A 2–4 player family board game you can play in the browser, no signup.
  • Quick screen break — a full round usually takes 3–5 minutes.
  • Great for kids learning numbers 1–100 and taking turns.
  • Offline-friendly: runs entirely in your browser with no accounts.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the classic snakes and ladders board game?

It is the same style of game — a 10 by 10 numbered board with ladders that take you up and snakes that bring you down — with original art and a friendly in-browser interface. The rules follow the familiar family version.

Can children play it?

Yes. The rules are simple, the board is colourful and touch-friendly, and there is no signup, no chat and no adverts inside the game play area.

How many players are supported?

You can play against one, two or three AI opponents. Pick the number before you start a new round.

Are my wins saved?

Yes. Your win count for this browser is saved on your device, so your streak is there when you come back.
