Play Tap-a-Critter
Touch / tablet: tap and drag work like click and drag on a desktop. Use Fullscreen above for a larger play area without scrolling past ads and tips. Keyboard shortcuts listed in each game also have on-screen buttons where they matter.
Runs fully in your browser. Scores are saved on this device only.
How to play
Classic: 60 seconds, tap friendly brown critters (green cheek band) before they hide; combo multiplies points. Advanced: choose Easy–Expert skill. Tap only friendly critters. Red “grumpy” faces cost points if tapped. Gold sparkles with a star are fast bonus taps. Gray-banded peekers only half-rise — tapping them is a mistake. Each wave has a point goal; clear it for a faster, trickier next wave.
Tips & strategy
In Advanced mode, read the face before you tap — same burrow peek for everyone, but the body gives it away. Save reflexes for bonus critters (they vanish quickly). Do not mash every pop-up or decoys and grumpy critters will eat your score.
Good for
- One-minute daily reflex warm-up.
- Family-friendly party score-chase.
- Fun on touchscreens (the buttons are large).
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — the grid scales to any screen and taps are registered with no 300ms delay.
How long is a round?
Classic mode is always 60 seconds. Advanced uses timed waves (a little shorter each wave) until you miss the goal or keep clearing them.
What is recorded as my best score?
Classic records your best 60-second score. Advanced records your best total run when a wave ends without meeting the goal (your final tally including all cleared waves).
