How to play

Click a square to reveal it. Numbers show how many mines touch that cell (diagonals count). Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to place a flag on a suspected mine. Clear every non-mine cell to win.

Tips & strategy

When a revealed number equals the flags already around it, every other touching cell is safe to open. When the unopened cells around a number equal that number minus its current flags, the rest must all be mines. Cascade the two rules around the edges and the board opens up fast.

Frequently asked questions

Is the first click always safe?

Yes. If the first square you open would be a mine, the mine is moved before the board is revealed — standard minesweeper rules.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes. Tap to open, long-press to toggle a flag, or use the Flag button to switch mode.
